On the bad days
when my muscles are tied up in knots
and getting out of bed is the equivalent of
scaling Mt. Everest . . .
On the worse days
when moving brings tears to my eyes
and the simple act of crying
makes me want to cry . . .
On the hard days
when showering and putting on clean clothes
is a major achievement . . .
On the worst days
When I want to give up and give in
When I’m sure the pain will never end
When I’m feeling isolated and alone
I get my earthly angels on the phone
It is their strength that gets me through
It is their words that keep me sane
It is their belief that steels my faith
Without them I can’t make it from day to day
It is with deepest gratitude that I say
