When Comebacks Go Right

hands-holding-jigsaw

If you read my post yesterday I explained how all the wrong people can resurface in your life when you least expect it. Well, today I am going to flip the script and present the other side of the story because sometimes comebacks are the best thing that could ever happen to you.

Story #1

A 17-year-old has a daughter. She falls in love with this guy and they have a daughter together. They are young and in love and everything is going well. Somewhere along the way they grow apart and separate. There is no bad blood between them, they just go their own ways.

The girl moves to a different city and has another daughter. She doesn’t speak to the guy for 33 years. The guy grows up and does not have any more children. Eventually, he decides to look for the daughter he lost three decades ago. It’s not just the guy who looks for his daughter. He has his family looking for her too.

After months of sending messages to a young woman they think is the guy’s long lost daughter. One of the guy’s sisters gets a reply. The young woman is the daughter the guy  was searching for.

Now remember, the teenage lovers had no beef with each other they just grew apart. When the guy is reunited with his daughter, he is also reunited with the woman he fell in love with so many years ago.

Through a series of conversations, the guy finds out his daughter’s mother is unhappily married, but married none-the-less. This does not phase the guy at all because when he met his long lost love it was if they never missed a beat. The 33 years between them could have easily been 33 seconds because they picked up right where they left off.

Their reunion resulted in the woman getting a divorce and marrying her daughter’s father. If you are skeptical, I assure you this is a true story. I watched it play out with my own eyes. To be continued . . .

Join me on Monday for comeback story #2!
